Taylor Swift Nails!

Hey Peeps!
Yesterday, I was talking to my friend Avery, who sent me a picture of her really cool nails! So I decided I wanted to do a design made especially for her. So, since she and I LOVE Taylor Swift I thought of a brilliant idea. Many people when you think of Taylor you think of guitars, 13, TS, and her songs. I did incorporate that somewhat by painting the background purple, but if you really think about Taylor Swift and her appearance, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Her curly golden hair! Thats why the lines are squiggly, with a golden sheen to represent her hair, and then on my thumb I painted a TS, so anybody could really tell that it was Taylor Swift. Want to know how I got the look?

1) Start out by painting your nails a shade of purple. I used Sinful Colors: Hydrangea. I needed to use 2 coats because the color wasn't as thick as I wanted it to be.
2) Take white nail polish and paint squiggles starting from a center point at the bottom of your nail. My lines are thin because I used a small brush made for french tip, but you can use a tooth pick, or pull batting off a cotton swab and dip it in that. (More experience nail people, you can use a dotting tool, I guess you kind of knew that!)
3) Finally paint a really sheer gold paint over top, I used L'Oreal's Amazon Flash.
4) Finish off with your favorite top coat!

Happy Nailing!

From Prettyfulz

Okay, the nail blogger Prettyfulz, is this amazing girl, who has a lot of really cool nail polish. Here is her snowflake design. LOVE IT!

The Hunger Games Nail Line =)))))))

I'm REALLY excited to let you guys know that China Glaze is coming out with a polish line for The Hunger Games! If you haven't read the series yet, it is a MUST READ! I mean its honest to goodness good reading. My summary: "The Hunger Games, fresh, new series that everybody will enjoy reading. When you read it, its like your brain just de-toxified itself, of any bad reading you have done in your life. Suzanne Collins is a genius!" But thats, just me. So anyway here is the colors. Can you tell which ones are from which districts?

Splatter Art!

Okay! I said that I would be posting new ideas each week, and I havent been keeping true to that. And, I'm sorry =( I will do 2 today to keep up with it, but I'll admit that they are from other blogs, because I haven't really gotten the chance to do my own. TOMORROW though I will post my most recent mani. It looks like somebody dripped paint on my nails, and it really cool, SO I will post that tomorrow, and do the 2 from others tonight, just to sum things up. So get ready to capture the nail.

Happy Holidays!

Sorry I'm really late on nail ideas, I've been really busy with my part in my schools play. BUT since I'm on break expect some more. Also one of the best Christmas presents I got, was Konad stamping. IT. IS. AMAZING. I really can't wait! Also they say that only the Konad special polishes work, but thats a lie.. Regular polishes work just fine. I will also be doing 3 swatches on the colors I got. In fact they are color changing in the sun! Also keep in tune for a contest! You may be in for something really cool!

Put a hat on it!

This is the best winter design I have created! I used my winter hat to inspire it. It made me feel like it should snow soon! (which it will!)

Start out by painting your nails a gray color. I used Sally Hansen's Wet Cement.

Same step as before just a different picture =)

Next with a white small tip paint a wintery design. This one is similar to the stripes on my hat or could also resemble snow on the ground.

Then after that place different gems on each nail. I also used pearls to give a more wintery look.

My thumbs my favorite =)

Snowflake!

You can also add a shimmter coat atop this to give it a frozen ice look. I used pitetes jewl.
I hope that your guys enjoyed my lastest nail design. So continue capturing the nail!

Candy Apple Swatch

The pictures do no justice for this color! Its actually more of a pink, but I couldn't really find a good lighting. The red color is from Sally Hansen's Hard as Nail collection. Its called tough love. Its a color that can either be a hot pink or a flashy red. In this light its got an orange tint. On top I added a top coat of Revlon's strawberry sizzle which is my favorite shimmer top coat. I don't know if they sell it anymore but it will any pink look like its on fire =). I also added a regular top coat to protect it and make it last longer. Here are the pics:
